Exakta IIa - Version 2.1 (Rare - modified faceplate - IIa engraved)

Essentially a Varex IIa, Version 2, with a modified front plate. I elected to call these versions, Version 2.1. The original Varex IIa engraving was hammered out and re-engraved with the II a letters. This is one of the versions that are easily counterfeited. Unless you are experienced with these versions, let the buyer beware.

Camera is displayed with a 55mm f1.9 Steinheil Auto Quinon, Version 2 lens.

In Gary Cullen's book, Exakta Obscurities, this camera is identified as Version 19.
