Exakta IIa - Version 2 (Rare - modified faceplate - Word "Varex" removed & IIa not changed)

Essentially a Varex IIa, Version 2, with a modified front plate. The original word "Varex" was ground out and hammered. The original IIa letters were not changed. This is one of the versions that are easily counterfeited. Unless you are experienced with these versions, let the buyer beware.

In Gary Cullen's Book, Exakta Obscurities, this camera is identified as a Version 20.
