Exakta IIa - Version 2.1 (Rare - modified faceplate - IIA engraved)

Essentially a Varex IIa, Version 2, with a modified front plate. I elected to call these versions, Version 2.1. The original Varex IIa engraving was hammered out and re-engraved with the II A letters. This is one of the versions that are easily counterfeited. Unless you are experienced with these versions, let the buyer beware.

In Gary Cullen's Book, Exakta Obscurities, this camera is identified as a Version 21.
