The Kodak Retina IIa, Typ 016

The Kodak Retina IIa, Typ 016, is a favorite camera among many Retina collectors and users. It is very comfortable in the hand and capable of producing very high quality images. It lacks interchangeable lenses and is fitted with a fixed 50mm f2.0 Schneider Kreuznach Retina-Xenon lens in a Synchro-Compur shutter. Note, IIa's can also be found with Compur-Rapid shutters.

Finding a really clean one is quite difficult as the enamel paint on the back is extremely susceptible to wear and chipping. They are also prone to the "Zeiss bumps" in the back leather. This one was found after looking at numerous ones over the years and is one of the nicest examples one is likely to encounter.
