This Rare Varex IIb has no serial number. In the place where the serial number usually is found, the years "1946-1966" are engraved.

Below the shutter a special tag reading "Zum 20 jährig. Arbeitsjubiläum" is attached, signifying that this is a presentation camera, given to an employee who had reached 20 years of service with Ihagee in 1966. These cameras are quite uncommon and seldom appear for sale as those who received them tend to keep them in their families.

The lens is the ever-popular 50mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar.
