Voigtländer VSL 3E (Chrome)

In conjunction with the manufacture of the Rolleiflex SL35E, Rollei Singapore produced the Voigtländer VSL series of cameras. The finest of the Voigtländer cameras that they produced was the VSL 3E. It is basically the same cameras as the SL35E, only it wears the Voigtländer badge on a differently shaped prism housing. The first two Rolleiflex SLR's after the SL35 manufactured in Singapore, and earlier versions of the VSL cameras had some reliability issues.

Like the SL35E, the VSL 3E had center-weighted open aperture metering capabilities in both automatic and full manual modes, a full range of shutter speeds from 1/1000 down to 16 seconds, X-synchronizatiom at 1/125th and had the capability of using an accessory motor drive (scarce) or motor winder.

It was available in both chrome and satin black versions and was most often sold with the Voigtländer 50mm f1.4 Auto Color-Ultron lens. VSL 3E cameras are less common than their Rolleiflex SL35E brothers.
